Hong Kong is to extend its social distancing measures after authorities detected a cluster of nine local infections, sparking fears over another community outbreak.
The move included prolonging a ban on public gatherings of more than eight people and a restriction on customers at catering businesses by two weeks, to June 18.
Secretary for Food and Health Sophia Chan said on Tuesday that the validity of the two anti-epidemic regulations, restricting businesses and gatherings, will be extended to August 31.
