The police are deployed en mass on Friday night in various districts marking the first anniversary of the violent clashes in Admiralty during the early days of the anti-extradition movement.

Protesters heeded online calls to mark the anniversary of the clashes between police and protesters at Legco and the government headquarters.

The Hong Kong Police Force have fired over 16,000 rounds of tear gas since June last year. Health experts have voiced concern over the physical effects of prolonged exposure to the crowd control agent, and urged authorities to disclose the chemical components of the tear gas for the sake of public health.
